    SkyBridge founder says a leftward lurch at City Hall could erode the tax base and unsettle crypto‑savvy financiers.

    In an exclusive interview with TheStreet Roundtable, SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci warned that New York risks losing up to 200,000 wealthy residents if Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani wins the mayoral race. Scaramucci said Momdani’s progressive agenda and anti-business rhetoric could trigger “flight from the city,” eroding the tax base that funds state programs. He also labeled the candidate “an anti-Semite,” questioning his appeal to New York’s Jewish community. Scaramucci, a long-time Bitcoin advocate, linked the political shift to broader crypto concerns — arguing that capital and liquidity could migrate to more favorable hubs like Miami and Austin.
